Training Programs

The American Hypnosis Training Academy is an approved continuing education provider for Mental Health Counselors, Psychologists, Social Workers and Substance Abuse Counselors (APA, NASW, NBCC, NADAC).  AHTA was established in 1981and to date more than 5400 professionals have attended its programs. 

Most state boards accept programs with national Approval, but it is up to the participant to verify. Also, some state licensing boards have different methods for determining how CEU's and CE's are calculated.

The American Hypnosis Training Academy (AHTA) provides training in Ericksonian Hypnosis, Brief Solution focused Psychotherapy, and Neuro-Linguistic Programming throughout the year.  Intensive training programs are available at the introductory level and at advanced levels.  Short one to three-day workshops are also presented throughout the year.  Intensive Training Programs and shorter workshops are offered in Rockville, MD (metro Washington, D.C.) and Baltimore, MD, and are also scheduled in other cities throughout the U.S.A. 

 

All AHTA training qualifies toward the required hours to be certified by the National Board for Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists (NBCCH).
