Why Attend the AHTA Certification Training Programs and workshops? Because---the training offered by the American Hypnosis Training Academy (AHTA) provides outstanding instruction, plenty of experiential practice and de-mystifies the work of Milton H. Erickson, Virginia Satire and a number of other extraordinary practitioners of hypnosis and brief psychotherapy. The courses and workshops are designed to teach exceptional hypnosis and therapeutic skill to every participant. As you will read below, AHTA training is acclaimed by our graduates as one of the finest post-graduate continuing educational programs they have ever attended. These comments make it clear that the training programs presented by the American Hypnosis Training Academy are just what you are looking for to enhance your therapeutic skills.
Over the years, professionals call to tell me that they receive dozens of brochures for training programs and how hard it is to decide which one to attend. What makes it hard, is they’ve gone to too many programs where they’re impressed with the presenter’s ability to demonstrate techniques, but they end up disappointed because the skills they hoped to acquire were not imparted to the participants. Mental health practitioners tell me they want to learn are effective techniques that they can put to immediate use to help their clients. I can assure you that’s exactly what you’ll get when you enroll in the Ericksonian Hypnosis & Brief Psychotherapy seminars and other ATHA programs.
As I say in my letter, which is printed on the Ericksonian Hypnosis & Brief Psychotherapy brochure, our training is outstanding because the focus is on teaching therapists to successfully utilize Ericksonian Hypnosis and Brief Psychotherapy for their clients---NOT just showing how the instructors can do demonstrations.
Here at the American Hypnosis Training Academy, you will learn to use Ericksonian hypnosis and brief psychotherapy effectively, and help your clients lead more satisfying and healthier lives--- guaranteed!
Please give me a call so I can talk to you personally about the value of our programs. Also, I’ll be happy to provide the phone numbers of a few graduates so you can get their recommendations in person as well. My phone numbers are local: 301-565-0103 and toll-free: 800-343-9915.

Best clinical therapy training I have ever been involved in; precise, clear, informative and structured to maximize learning, skill development and personal growth.
Anthony Barton, Ph.D.
My mother used to kid and call me ”Peter never satisfied Bloom.” I am much, much more than satisfied with your course and plan to come back for more. Many thanks to you and your associate Bob Katz for giving me a lot of information and teaching me about many precise techniques and useful attitudes about change. Also, for giving me opportunities to practice what I was learning in an open, stimulating and caring environment.
Peter Bloom, Ph.D.
I was on the training you did in Scarborough in England some years ago, which was my very first training in hypnotherapy. Now, rather a lot of years later, I have been a full time therapist with a busy very full time private practice, an NLP Master Practitioner, and an Accredited NLP Psychotherapist, a Fellow of the Hypnotherapy Society, and a Fellow of the Hypnotherapy Research Society. I have trained with many of the 'stars', including Richard Bandler, John Grinder and others in the NLP world, and with Michael Yapko, and with Brent Geary, from the Milton H. Ericksonian Institute.
Without doubt, yours was easily the most powerful training I have ever attended, and many years later, I was still 'unpacking' the very profound material that was presented. While many other world famous trainers have given me valuable skills and understanding, the skills learned on your course have continued to be the mainstay of my practice, and as I am working with clients I am often aware of skills - and even phrases - I modeled from you, as I use them. The sheer quality of that training was awesome, and I
am quite sure is a major part of the reason why I am constantly in demand—despite the fact that I am probably the most expensive among the very many therapists in this part of the country. I am actually turning enquirers away at times, because there are not enough hours in the day to see them all.
This is just to say many thanks for remarkable multi-level training, and for skills that have enabled me to move from being a full time social worker to a far more satisfying profession - and incidentally earning
considerably more as a result!
If you were a little closer, I would certainly want to attend another of your trainings - as it is, the USA is a little distant, as I am never really able to be away from the practice for longer than a week. If you have any plans to train again in Europe, do please let me know!
David Carpenter, West Midlands, UK
The most important aspect of this training has been the personal interest shown by Ron in the quality of work performed by the students. This emphasis on the quality of work is very unusual. Most training programs want to assess what you know, not how you apply what you know. The mental health system would be delivering better services to its clients if we had more training seminars and more educators like those provided by the American Hypnosis Training Academy.
Ron Sharp, Ed.D.
Attending this workshop was one of the most intensive experiences of my professional career. Having spent thirty years in education, I must say that the teaching techniques, strategies and approaches employed were outstanding. The hands-on types of activities couples with the multi-sensory modality technique are the soundest education approaches I’ve ever experienced. I have quickly forgotten some the content of other courses....I won’t forget yours.
Nancy Meskill, M.Ed.
What makes you so different from other trainers, Ron, is that while other professionals can demonstrate these techniques, you have the unique ability to teach them.
Harriet Zimmer, C.S.W
I have been active in the Association for Training and Development at the Chapter, Regional and National Level for 10 years. Because of that experience I have learned to expect excellence in training to be a norm and therefore tend to be very critically evaluative when selecting or attending workshops. Based on my unusually high expectations and standard. I want you to know that this was the best training that I have had in my lifetime. You are without a doubt a “Wizard” and I am enthralled with your wizardry.
Stephanie Donato, M.A.
Ron Klein is an unusually well-organized teacher, who practices what he teaches. He enriches his presentation with illustrations, humor and effective demonstrations. Ample experiential work is well-planned and gives Ron opportunities to assess the needs and facilitate the learning of each individual participant.
His hypnotic magic is contagious. He is an excellent trainer with skill, humor and integrity, attending to the learning needs of each individual participant. It is a pleasure to recommend his course.
Martha Montgomery, M.A.
Your hypnosis workshops have continued to work in my practice and in my life. The teaching you offered with such clarity continues to resonate and produce good things. It was truly as effective a learning and growing experience as one finds. Gurdjieff once said about teachings in this world: “There must be real gold about - there is so much counterfeit to be found everywhere.” Your program is the real gold.
Dave Sternbach, M.S.W.
This program gives the participants a useful medium for personal skill enhancement and development. One of the best training events I have ever attended.
Tom Wiseman, Ph.D.
I know we are only part of the way through the training course, but I had to write and let you know how much I appreciated this past weekend. In only one weekend I feel I have learned as much as I expected to learn in the whole program. So that makes me very excited about what is yet to come.
I have taken courses at some of the most prestigious institutions around the country such as The Johnson Institute, The U.S. Navy Institute in Substance Abuse Studies and training provided by the National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors as well as the American Psychological Association. I am personally certified as a Master Training Specialist. With this experience in training and as a trainer, I don’t believe I have ever experienced such a well thought out, well planned workshop.
The material presented has been appropriate, very well presented and the demonstration and experiential exercises forced it home. I found it supportive to have recent graduates of the program show us “how it works.” Their coaching was very helpful. I found the entire staff of yourself, Bob and Jim most supportive and available with a true willingness to enhance the learning process.
On a more personal note I want to thank you for your personal interest and for making the training so available to me as well as to so many others. I look forward to the next weekend.
Joseph L. Trim, M.A.
I had many conversations with myself during and after your recent training. I have worked out words of praise and expressions of thanks and none seem to come close to being adequate. You are a wonderful instructor.
Learning the Ericksonian approach to psychotherapy and hypnosis has made a significant impact on my work. More importantly, perhaps, has been the privilege of knowing you and learning from you by discovering so many interesting concepts and skills in the process.
Deborah Bauserman, Ed.D.
I wanted to express my thanks for the experiences I received at your workshop this summer. Most of the courses or workshops I have attended on psychotherapy have been based on giving information. I find that I come away from these workshops with a knowledge of what I would like to do but not the understanding of how to accomplish it. This has left me frustrated on many occasions. It has also been distressing to know that some technique would be helpful to my clients, however, unless I refer the client, I knew that they would only receive a partial replication of the technique.
In your workshop I found that there was a massive amount of information imparted (more than I fully know even now), but most important to me was the practical application that was taught. I find that I am now more able and confident in doing what I learned from you. Instead of frustration, I feel an excitement about learning even more. I would like to encourage you to continue with this type of teaching. In my opinion, it is the most important component of training in psychotherapy. I would also like to whole-heartedly endorse this workshop to any therapist who is interested in becoming more effective in his/her work.
James K. Holwager, Ph.D.
During the past nine years, I have participated in a wide range of workshops, and training programs, all of which were focused on clinical aspects of the helping process. By using these workshops as a reference gauge, I can say that your program was the most organized and professionally well-run training program I have ever experienced.
Your ability to combine theoretical data with experiential exercises augmented the learning process. By carefully controlling the tempo of the program and by using the Zen-like quality of “indirect pointing,” you were able to help the trainees experience flashes of insight that transcended the strictly linear approaches that are representative of western psychology. In summation, your program was focused on teaching to the whole person: the rational and the intuitive.
Randy Fiery, M.S.W.
I’ve had a period of time to reflect on the quality and nature of my training with you and thought you would be interested to hear from me.
The most valuable thing I took from my experience with you was the beginning of confidence in utilizing a new and powerful way of effecting change in people. You taught me how to get started in a modality of treatment about which I had previously had a lot of skepticism. Your emphasis upon skill development and not on demonstrating your own expertness was refreshingly different from previous experiences with other teachers. There is no doubt you are a strong and powerful teacher.
Seymour Siegel, D.S.W.
The best training I have ever attended. It was extremely useful and helpful.
Carolyn Schmidt, Ph.D.
Training in hypnotherapy with Ron Klein, has been a rich experience. In over thirty years of clinical practice, I have attended many training sessions. I left most of them with great appreciation for the magical skill for the leader. In Ron’s case, however, the emphasis was on our learning rather than on his charismatic leadership. Ron is a wonderful teacher and I am using what I learned!
Frances L. Seidman, Ed.D.
